Job Description
• Support and improve MAS business production in EMS for products test related issues both SW and HW.
Develop functional test both HW and SW to meeting required specifications.
Job Responsibilities
• Support technical investigations into Emerson Test fixture and Programs and product when there are quality / yield issues onto ascertain root cause in conjunction with the owner of the test process. This will involve detail analysis including taking specific measurements and experiments to determine the failure mode and root cause.
• Support deployment of functional tests programs and fixtures to meet the test specifications and test coverage requirements. The test programs and fixtures will meet production capacity and through put requirements and must meet local Safety and Health requirements.
• Generate documentation for fixtures that cover all manufacturing and maintenance requirements including defined maintenance frequency and coverage
• Support Engineering change implementation with respect to test programs and fixtures in the define methodology and maintain change records of program modifications. It should be tied to date of implementation and manufacturing works orders and where necessary to serial numbers.
• Develop test strategies to complement new products and test equipment technologies, review current product test processes, ensure all current test have adequate specifications and recommend improvements where necessary.
• Monitor manufacturing Test yields and develop initiatives to improve test processes, thereby improving test yields, throughput and reduce costs.
• All above will require coordination to counterparts in US and Thailand.
Basic Qualifications
• Min Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering or related fields.
• Min 5 years of experience in a relevant field of work – test engineering.
• Experience in use of Automatic Test Equipment system using IEEE488 standard bus (GPIB) and LabView - Official training and implementation experience
• Experience of 8/16/32 bit microcontroller based systems (hardware and software)
• Knowledge and experienced in Functional test support practices and processes,
• Be fluent both written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, statistical, and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to implement projects to set schedules
• Familiarity with the electronics industry and component application
• Willing and able to travel outside the Country (as required)
• Ability to train others and pass on knowledge and skills
• Ability to implement innovative solutions and to take the lead in solving test related problems.
• Absolute integrity. Must put safety and quality above production.
